The Pig's Ear is one of Peterborough's oldest, continuously operating pubs; opened originally in 1865 as the St. Maurice Saloon.
In 1870 it became the St. Lawrence Hotel; 1894 the Little Windsor Hotel, 1913 the Windsor Hotel, 1930 the Windsor House, 1974 the Windsor House Hotel and finally The Pig's Ear Tavern in 1975.
Many generations of Trent University students have spent memorable evenings at the Pig`s Ear; having drinks with friends, playing pool, darts or some of their in-house games.
